When the Moon is full it’s always a time for illuminating and amplifying our emotions, dreams and fears. This month we have the moon full on the 7th of May.
A full moon in Bali is always an invitation for ceremony. Villages gather together in a ritual that has been passed down through generations, where they make ceremonial offerings to the gods and spirits of their ancestors and the land of Bali.
Everyday they express their gratitude for what they have while asking to restore balance between the gods, man and nature.
One of the most sacred days in Bali is the full moon or as the Balinese would call it ‘purnama’.
The Full Moon to the Balinese is always when the moon has its strongest energy and is the most powerful and magical. During this time they ask the moon to help them release what no longer serves them, they ask for help to let go.
This full moon is in Scorpio. With Scoprio being a water sign, this full moon in particular is asking us to look at our emotions. As whenever we hold onto negative feelings about a person or situation causes us to create karma. During this time we are being asked to transform & transmute our Karma as well as manifest our spiritual aspirations.
It has been said that when Buddha attained his enlightenment it was when the Full moon was in Scorpio. So this is a special time, Look at it as an invitation for you to attain your own enlightenment by working with your fears and releasing them to the power of the moon.
Try this full moon ritual to releasing past karma;
You need: Pen, paper, matches, candle, two small bowls, water
